So...when I first signed up to id mobile I signed up as the internet was powered by 3.....first year, no issues at all. Could run a firestick and a ps5 from it on hot-spot no worries.......these days....same place, same location, upgraded phone. Can't even run bbc player on hot-spot. The mobile data is horrendous wherever you go aswell these days and it's clearly not an isolated incident as there's loads and loads of others with the same issue.…

My 2 questions are

1. Why the decline in bandwidth? It's almost as if id keeps you sweet for the first year of contract, then cuts it for year 2?

How do I contact id about improving my bandwidth as they obviously have control of speeds and can improve/limit them. Am seriously thinking of cancelling my contract as there's just no point in being with id with the internet the way it is atm.

Hi there @Ldav1986

What does your postcode show for known issues?

And have you lost 3G?

https://www.three.co.uk/content/experience-fragments/threedigital/uk/en/site/mvno/coverage-checker/idmobile.html

(it defaults to 4G, simply toggle to 3G and 5G)

But you’re another one saying things have deteriorated, myself included. For the last 3-4 days I’ve witnessed my 4G signal dropping to 0 bars, calls dropping and spotted my phone number shows as unknown on my phone when it does drop.

My 2 questions are

The links above might point you in a direction, or at least rule things out. Sometimes setting the phone/router to manually connecting to 4G rather than auto (5G being ‘buggy’ for some at the mo might also be worth exploring. But yes mine was good for a good few months though now its almost unusable. I even couldn’t get online via data either yesterday.

You could drop iD a DM on their socials, or contact them on live chat, or wait to see if one of them on these forums picks this up. iD do have traffic management systems though whenever I checked they claim its not in use.

Anyway this was a more of a you’re not alone reply 👍
