staying with id mobile but buying through carphone warehouse

I'm currently an id mobile customer but have seen a better upgrade on carphone warehouse which is still with the id mobile network. How do I keep my phone number if I purchase through carphone warehouse? Do I just ask for a pac code like I usually would?

Hey there @Matt O, if you wish to keep your phone number with us, you’ll need to order an upgrade, not a new plan. We do offer upgrades via the iD Mobile app/website and via Carphone Warehouse when logged in, but if you order a new contract, you cannot transfer your number between contracts I’m afraid, as we don’t support same network number switching.

If you go down this route, the only way to keep your number would be a triangle port, where you transfer your number to another network on Pay As You Go, and then back to us on the new plan.
