Used up 5gb data in less than one hour

My wife and I just moved to ID, I’ve put both sims in today. Her phone is using up data at an alarming rate. 5 gb and it’s only been switched on for an hour or so. There has been no streaming or anything, simply switched on. She has come from a 5gb contract and was lucky if she used half of that per month. 

My phone has used 0.1 gb!

 

I think this maybe the quickest ever change of provider that we have ever had, shocked at reading how poor the customer service is.

Sorry to hear you feel this way, however we’d have no control over the speed in which data is used, this is completely based on what the user is doing with their device.

 

If you’re in a 5G area and using 5G, you may be using a larger amount of data quicker than you would in a 4G area.

Just as expected after reading some of the comments on here, she had a live chat and they told her that she must have used it in the set up of the phone! We have identical phones, I swopped my sim first and have only used 0.1 gb , I swopped hers, when I first looked it was 3gb then about 15 minutes later it was 5 gb. Totally unacceptable for them to claim that amount of data can be swallowed up so quickly.

I’m already on the hunt for another provider before the end of the cooling of period.
