keeping id phone number when upgrading phone

I want to keep my ID phone number as I got a new phone on ID network but it won't let me and I can't find any help

Hello @2sharon10

If you upgraded your handset the number is retained as the plan updates. 

It sounds like you may have ordered a new contract instead.

When you log into the iD app /account which plan shows? Is it showing the old one or the new one?
