upgraded to sim only

Have changed from a 2 year contract to purchase and sim card monthly contract still keeping with ID/ Carphonewarehouse/Currys The shop assistant using the new card provided cloned my phone. However I cannot access my new phone. Do I swap over my old Sim card ? Why was the new one inserted? Wish to keep my existing number. Would be nice if I could talk to someone as an aging oap

Sorry for the delayed reply here.

Assuming you upgraded to a SIM only plan, then your new SIM will be blank and the old one still should work. You can activate the new SIM here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/your-sim-card and then all will be transferred over to that SIM.

Your iD account will show the new plan when you log-in so that should have been done for you.
