Out-of-plan call charges are the additional costs you incur when making calls or using services that aren’t included in your mobile plan. Here’s everything you need to know:
What are out-of-plan call charges?
- Standard out-of-plan charges.
If you go over your allowance when you’re in the UK or one of our 50 Roam Free destinations, calls to standard UK mobile numbers, numbers starting 01, 02, 03, numbers based in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man, calls to non-standard 07 numbers are charged at 40p per minute.
- Non-standard 07 numbers.
Some numbers starting with 07 are operated by 3rd parties who connect or forward calls to another number. These calls are not included in your inclusive minutes and are charged at 40p per minute. Click here to view the full list.
- Non-geographic calls.
Non-geographic calls are those made to numbers starting 087, 084, 09 and 118. To find out the cost of calling, go to Section 2 of our Call Charges page.
- Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Calls to the following numbers based in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man are international calls and are not included in your inclusive minutes.
- Premium rate numbers.
Premium rate numbers are used for services including information and entertainment, such as TV voting, horoscopes, chat lines, recorded information, professional advice services (for example, computer support help lines) and directory enquiries. - Call shortcodes.
Companies, charities, and premium rate services frequently use shortcodes, which are shorter phone numbers typically consisting of 4-6 digits. Contacting some services via a shortcode is free of charge, however, some may come with associated fees that can be costly. To find out the cost of a shortcode, go to Section 8 of our Call Charges page. All charges will appear under Standard UK services on your iD Mobile bill.
- Other numbers.
