Out-of-plan SMS charges are additional costs incurred when you send text messages that are not included in your monthly allowance.
Please note: If you are a Pay as you Go (PAYG) customer, rates differ from Pay Monthly contracts. Check out this Community article for more information.
Standard out-of-plan charges.
Good news: All iD Mobile Pay Monthly plans come with unlimited standard texts to UK mobile numbers.
This means you will never be charged extra for sending standard SMS messages to UK mobiles while you are in the UK.
International charges.
Sending texts to numbers outside the UK is not included in your standard allowance. These are charged at international rates.

Text shortcodes (Premium rate).
Shortcodes are 4-6 digit numbers often used by charities, TV competitions, or voting services. Texts to these numbers are usually not included in your plan and can cost significantly more than a standard text.
