- Text shortcodes.
Companies, charities, and premium rate services frequently use shortcodes, which are shorter phone numbers typically consisting of 4-6 digits. Contacting some services via a shortcode is free of charge, however, some may come with associated fees that can be costly. To find out the cost of a shortcode, go to Section 8 of our Call Charges page. All charges will appear under Standard UK services on your iD Mobile bill.
