I was the victim of a SIM swap fraud recently that caused quite a big headache both literally and financially, and honestly dealing with ID customer service via the live chat has been an absolute pain. It’s also made it apparent the account security is absolutely woeful on the live chat and I suspect it’s how the scammers managed to SIM swap me in the first place.

 

I’m balking a bit at the termination fee, but I’m absolutely done with ID Mobile based on how poorly they’ve handled this whole thing. I know I can request a STAC/PAC via the website + app but I’m getting frequent crashes that make this difficult - can I manage my account at a physical Currys store? I’m not sure my sanity can handle another round with the live chat.
