Question

Cancelling Account

I am the business manager of a primary school. The previous manager set up an id mobile SIM years ago which we no longer want. We have no log in details at all for the account.

I want to cancel the account following an issue where the sim went dead and we could not contact anyone to sort it out. We now have found another provider.

How can I cancel the account? The previous account holder has tried, we can’t do anything. This is getting silly now.

Hey there @Sturton, thank you for reaching out.

Is the contract under your name, or someone else’s please? We’d need to speak to the account holder to assist further, and will require certain contract details to close the account down.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thank you,

It probably wasn’t clear in my initial post - the previous business manager set up the account in her own name. We have cancelled the direct debit but the system keeps chasing for payment. I can’t cancel the account and we certainly are not going to keep paying for an account we don’t use.

Regards

@Sturton  Thank for your reply but since the account not in your name the person details for this account would have to contact IDMobile along with the account holder that pays the bill as in your case.

This is for legal reasons I'm afraid, is there no way to get hold of this individual now that they left the business.

Thank you for confirming @Sturton

Unfortunately, we are not able to access the account or process any changes/requests without speaking directly with the account holder.

Is the person able to get in contact with us here so that we may assist?

Thanks,

Natalie
