cannot add mobile number to account


Hello, 

Been a customer for years. Needed to set up roaming today and discovered the old app is gone and I had to re-register and use new app. 

Managed to create new login then got stuck adding my mobile number. It keeps saying the mobile number, name, and date of birth don't match anything on record. 

Chat is down and Id had no telephone support. Traveling early tomorrow, so am stuck. 

Help?

Service page is now showing that the live chat service is once again up and running. 


That's convenient because it's out of hours and isn't staffed again until tomorrow, which is too late for me to set up roaming

Thank you for following up. I've got registered. I can't add my mobile. When I try, it says the details do not match any records.

Great...no progress at all. I've sent every shred of info and still, nothing. It seems I was allowed one private msg pretty 24/hrs. For the last few days it's radio silence.

Tomorrow it will be one week since I started the soul-destroying journey to pay ID Mobile £5/day for roaming in the USA. However, because there is no way to speak with a human to solve what should be a relatively straight forward issue, it's a no go so far. 

 

I'm grateful to the folks here for at least getting the process started. I'm unhappy about corporate deciding to save money by not staffing front line customer services. 

 

I'll take a look at the other sim- only challengers on my return home. Maybe I can donate my monthly fee to another company who *does* pay for humans to speak with at times like this.

A week and a day, we're no further forward. I still cannot add my mobile number to my login, so cannot add the usa roaming add on. 

Is there no one who is capable of going into my account and simply adding the number so I can get in? It beggars belief the incapacity to do anything except send urls for how to pages about something i already know how to do, but can't, because of a system error. 

Id mobile: you win for now. I have a phone which is not a phone, just a wifi linked mini computer. No idea who's trying to phone or text me and hope to goodness there's nothing urgent.

I'm 100% off this service ASAP I return home.

Right, that's the issue sorted out: I didn't remember that I'd actuality left ID mobile in 2023 (over this same roaming issue). Id support liked at my account today and told me I'd ported the number in July 2023.

Off I went searching for the new contract, found it, logged in and enabled usa roaming.

Apologies for the storm in a teacup, entirely of my making. 

However it would have saved me over a week of someone had seen this over a week ago.
