cant add my phone number to the online account

I can't add my phone number to the online account. Please can someone help as there is no one to speak to, thanks

You’ve posted your number on a public forum. I have no idea why your 1st reply was Hi either. I will ask for your number to be removed.

 

Anyway, is this number a new number to iD or are you trying to add additional account to the app?

Iv had the number for years, the app has updated on my phone so I'm trying to log in. It is a sim only ID contact

The ability to send anything privately via these forums have been deactivated, apart from iD staff, due to ‘bad persons’ pretending to be employees (note my warning at the bottom of all my posts). But even if it was still working only provide account credentials when asked for by genuine staff. The only other area to provide such info would be via their live chat facility.

Right okay. As the app was updated to version 6.3.0 iD changed the minimum specs for using older phones. For iPhone it’s iOS15 and newer or Android 6 and newer. It might be the case your phone might now be too old.

It opens on a browser, not the app, and if this works you can always continue using this method.

 

If your phone meets the minimum spec then you could try clearing the cache, then data, then delete and reinstall to see if this fixes the app
