Change the name on a plan

I added another plan to my account for my wife. On my iD app I now have 2 plans both in my name. Can I rename the wifes plan with her name to make it easier to manage the plans?

Unfortunately this isn’t possible at this time, the team are aware of a want for this feature but we have nothing to announce at this time.

This sounds like a simple change - hopefully it’s introduced soon, as it would be helpful in distinguishing between plans.

Is there any update on this, as I have just joined ID mobile and I have 2 plans on my account, one for me and one for my wife, so would love to be able to change an alias so I can distigush between the two accounts.

Is there likely to be any positive news on this topic soon ?  Like many others, I have multiple ID Mobile SIMs and it would be extremely helpful to edit the plan names to easily identify which SIM is which.

It seems to be such a simple request - how do we escalate the priority to your development team ?

Thank you for your concern. We completely understand how helpful it would be to add custom names or labels to each plan, especially when managing multiple SIMs on one account. 

At the moment, this feature isn’t available, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this causes. Please note that, due to our security policy, we aren’t able to transfer an existing account into someone else’s name, as the account must remain under the name of the person who completed the original credit check.

If you completely understand the request, what steps are ACTUALLY being taken to provide this feature and when might it be available ?

FYI I'm not looking to transfer plans from others - I just have 4 SIMS in my own name that I need to be able to manage more easily.and this feature would be very helpful.

I’m really sorry, but at the moment we don’t have a confirmed timescale to share. You do have the option to complete a third-party accessibility form, which allows a nominated person to receive read-only support on your behalf. Please note, however, that we’re unable to change the name on the account within our system.

This is a great idea most networks offer this such as Sky mobile ,surely its a easy update for ID to do

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, we completely understand why this feature would be helpful, especially when other providers offer the ability to label or rename plans.

 

While it may seem like a simple update on the surface, changes like this do require development work across multiple systems to ensure everything remains secure and functions correctly within our app and billing platform. That said, we do recognise the demand for it, and feedback like yours genuinely helps us demonstrate customer interest to our product team.

 

At the moment, we don’t have a confirmed timeline to share, but the request is logged and regularly reviewed. We really appreciate you adding your voice to it, it’s valuable input.
