Changing a recent SIM only plan

Last week I started a new SIM-only plan.

I have now decided that this is not for me and I’d like to consider the following options:

  1. Cancelling my plan - is there a ‘cooling off’ period
  2. Moving to a new handset deal with one of the offers from IDmobile.  Is it possible to change without penalty?

This forum article may help, @David Riddington

On point 2, you can’t currently change from a SIM only plan to handset contract, during the contract minimum term.

Hi there,

No, my issue is that I just bought a new SIM but can't seem to activate it - do I take the old, physical SIM out first? I don't think I can cancel my old contract first as I will lose my number? I bought a new SIM rather than change plan on the app as there was no indication of how long the SIM I my contracts were on there…

Please advise. Thank you!

Helen

Hi @Helen Short

Have you ordered a new plan and not an upgrade?

If you wish to use the new plan, you need to use the SIM card for that, and use the previous SIM for your previous plan.

If you wish to continue with the number you already had, you’ll need to instead upgrade that plan, not purchase a new one.
