ID app "authentication failed"

My ID app on my phone says “authentication failed” (doesn’t even let me try to sign in).  There’s a “try again” button but nothing happens when I tap it.  I’ve deleted and uploaded again, and no change.

iphone 15pro (it was working previously but not sure when it changed as I rarely use it)

Hi Georgia,

  • Check Internet: Ensure you have a stable connection.
  • Update App: Make sure the app is up-to-date.
  • Restart Phone: Turn it off and on again.
  • Clear Cache: On Android, go to Settings > Apps > [App] > Storage > Clear Cache.
  • Contact Support: If the issue persists, reach out to the app’s support team.

Ok have you pressed and hold the apps till they wobble etc, then click the X in the corner to uninstall the app then redownload. It?

Hello, unfortunately still having issues Tyler.  I can log into the website no problem, it’s just the app on my phone that doesn’t work.  Any thoughts?

I’m having the same issue  - Authentication failed.  Have turned phone off/on - still the same.

 I-phone 8 , IOS 16.7.11

Am currently on holiday in Ibiza - is that why??

Does it work whilst in the UK?

 

Also, is the iD Mobile website working for you and letting you login?

Hi, Tyler. Using the ID mobile app I used in the UK, which worked fine - although I recently had to go through the registration process again for some reason 🤷‍♂️

I can get on to this site OK using my login details - but I need to check how much data I have remaining, and can’t do it here.
