Safe search function is deactivated on my account screen but is still blocking out websites etc - I’ve turn it on and off and waited the allotted time scales but it is still blocking websites.

 Please help

Hey there @B0y5ey, thank you for reaching out.

I believe that our network partner Three UK permanently block some websites when using mobile data. So if if safe search is turned off and still not working, you may need to access these websites using Wi-Fi.

Thank you,

Tyler

was on 3 network for last 5 years worked fine.

Using WiFi should have worked.

You have turned Adult content filter off via your account @Gary750 haven’t you, as it’s on by default?

Also if it was on and you didn’t check this, after turning it off, give to 10 mins or so and restart your phone to remove the DNS used for the filter.

Change setting in ids app still nothing.

Did you reboot the phone after changing?

The other thing would be to eject the SIM, connect to WiFi and see if it allows the content. If it does pop the card back in and see if the content gets blocked. That way we may have a idea of who or what is at fault.

I did read about another having a similar issue. They were signed into Google. I don’t know how they got on as the staff on here took it to private message.

But if you are also signed into Google, you could try signing out, restart the phone and then if it the content works via data or WiFi.

The odd thing on that other post was that the staff said Three had their own blocks in place and that iD had no control over this - the same as the reply above - but as you’ve said you were with Three this kinda points the finger back at iD.

Hi @Gary750

If the issue still continues while even on Wi-Fi that wouldn’t be our blocks, that sounds like it could be your Google (or other browser) account, device or even Wi-Fi settings.
