Hi I am wanting to upgrade my daughters phone but not tell her, if I upgrade online, would she receive a text message to say her account has been upgraded?

Welcome to the iD Community,
Whilst it's possible to upgrade her account online, we'd usually text the number when the handset has been dispatched so she'd still get the text.
Unless you can find a way to stop her using her phone for a few days!
