4G to 5G phone upgrade

I have just upgraded my phone. My old phone was 4g and my new phone is 5g ready. Can I use my old sim in my new 5g ready phone or do you need to get a 5g sim to access 5g network?

Thanks.

Hi there @Leyox2

To answer your question the answer both is yes and no

Yes you can continue using your existing SIM card if it’s a recent(ish) card

And no, as there is no 5G SIM as such, the SIM is 5G ready

Hey there @Leyox2, thank you for reaching out.

All of our most recent SIM cards are already 5G enabled, so 5G should work just fine on our SIM, so long as your phone supports it, and you’re within a 5G coverage area.

Thanks,

Tyler
