Calls going straight to voicemail

The majority of calls to me go straight to voicemail. At my end, the phone doesn’t ring, and I immediately get an SMS to tell me that I have a missed call.

I’ve tried dialling 61*12330# as per the advice on

, but I get a ‘phone not registered on network’ message. I can, however, phone my wife’s mobile.

I’ve tried the live support chat 4 or 5 times since last night but can’t get through to an agent - can somebody help, please?

Hi @Nugsson

I am so sorry that you are experiencing issues with your calls. Kindly try resetting your network settings and updating your software to the latest.

Please do let us know if this helps

Hi @Isa M,

I’ve just tried that and unfortunately the result is the same - my wife called me, the first one got through OK, the second one straight to voicemail.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David.

Hi, I’ve been unable to get through on the live chat and haven’t had a satisfactory response here. How am I supposed to get support, please? Is there an email address?

You haven’t provided any helpful information beyond the fact that most inbound calls are going straight to voicemail.

- What phone you have?

- How many bars of signal are showing on your device?

- Is the problem occurring at multiple locations or just one?

Indeed, I was rather hoping that an iD representative would PM me to find some of this out.

  1. Samsung S21
  2. Plenty - it doesn’t matter how good the signal looks, the issue still occurs
  3. Multiple locations

I suspect the SIM or the phone is at fault; it would be nice to rule one or the other out.

The next step would be to try a SIM replacement. You can request an eSIM and install one via the iD Mobile app in minutes. Maybe do that?

Mine’s a physical SIM - is there an option in the app to get a new one sent out? I don’t particularly want to install the app but will do if that’s an option and iD aren’t going to respond to me themselves.

You don’t need the app. Simply log into your iD Mobile account via a web browser and place your order there.

@Nugsson  if you have a Curry's store that your able to get to, you may also pick up a replacement sim card from there. Make sure to bring along some type of ID passport or driving licence would be needed.

Joe 🙂
