Can i change my micro sim to a nano sim without changing my number

Good morning all I have an old Galaxy S10 which has a micro sim card. This number is used for business and pleasure. I need to change my phone, and I'm looking at a Pixel 9 Pro. This has dual sim capabilities. But its a nano sim and an eSim. My question is can I keep my current number, as its used for business, but swap the sim to a nano sim. I would then get a new personal number as an eSim. Thus giving me two contracts. One for a PAYG mobile sim and a new contract phone with a new personal number via eSim. Any help gratefully received
