@Donna114.dw

That post was not from a genuine iD Mobile employee. Please do not engage with them over the phone

Hey there @Donna114.dw, sorry to hear that. Firstly, I’ve removed your comment with your number, as the person contacting you was a scammer. If they do not have “iD Mobile employee” under their name on the left hand side, please do not give any personal details.

So when you call these numbers, they never work, but you still get charged, is that correct?

Thanks,

Tyler

Your iD status is not visible when you use a mobile device

(lower half of my reply - I have tagged Matt to see if this can be looked at - this might explain how some are not spotting this)

I nearly fell for that. I hung up halfway through.

I can receive text messages and incoming phone calls but when I phone out a landline number or mobile number all I get is a message telling me I have reached my cap limit. If I want to make a call I would have to increase my cap limit

I’m guessing you meant free minutes. And being as you mention your (I’m assuming billing) cap that tells me you’re not on a PAYG contract, so you must be either be on a 30 day rolling contract, or 12 or 24 month contract?

If you look at your first bill - viewable either via your online account (http://my.idmobile.co.uk/) or the iD Mobile app (tap on → Bills → View previous bills → locate your first bill (or any new ones) and it will download it does it show it you’ve made many chargeable calls? (Don’t post the content of your bill for obvious reasons). It does sound like either the number(s) you’re calling are not using your minutes or they’re classed as out-of-plan charges.

This should help finding the bills too

I’m wondering if some numbers you are calling are chargeable and you’re reaching the credit limit on the account (nothing to do with the billing cap). But something isn’t adding up.

That’s not making sense, you should be able to call 01, 02 or 03 using your free minutes and these should not incur any charges.

It might be worth contacting iD Mobile via their text based live chat -

Their Live Chat team are available 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 6pm Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays.

You can access Live Chat here: www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

(Don’t worry this is a genuine link)

After filling out the required fields type talk to person as this will help bypass their chat bot.
