can't make or receive calls to any number

Hello all

I have been with ID for several months, until recently everything worked fine.

I have just come back from abroad and can’t place or receive calls. I’ve had the same problem trying to contact several numbers:

 

When I call, I see their number on the screen but it doesn’t ring like it did before (and the called person does not see a call incoming)

When I am called, nothing happens but when they hang up I get a text saying I have a missed call.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the service since returning from abroad. 

Can you please complete a manual network reset via the handset settings?

I’ve had the same problem since I returned from abroad.  Tried all of the “fixes”, reboot, network search, etc etc.

Sometimes calls are fine, but quite a lot of the time midway through a call the other person can’t hear me and the call cuts off!  Sometimes when dialling out there’s a long delay before the call even tries to ring, or I can’t receive incoming calls.

I’ve only been with ID since mid May, all was fine until I went away in June, since coming back i’ve had problems like this. Not good

Are you having call issues just at your postcode or everywhere?

The issues are happening everywhere, I’ve been to different cities in the UK and get the same problem

Can you please confirm the make and model of the handset you are using?

Also, are you able to test your SIM in another handset?

Hi

 

It’s a xiaomi poco x3.

 

I am able to make calls with the SIM in another handset

 

Note that before, it was working fine in the xiaomi.

Hey there ​@Raphael78, unfortunately, that phone isn’t supported on our network, so it’s likely to not work properly, and not work for calls using an iD Mobile SIM card I’m afraid. 

 

This is due to the 3G turn off that began rolling out recently. You can check if this is the case in your area below:

Please read more below on what this is, and what to do:

If you have one of the phones from the below list, then 4G VOLTE and Wi-Fi calling should be able to be selected and work, and calls should still work:

If you have a phone that isn’t on this list, then it may or may not work, but we don’t officially support any phones outside of these and cannot say for sure if it will or not.

 

If your phone isn't listed above, you'll need to upgrade/get a new phone I'm afraid to receive calls.

 

Therefore, all we can advise is that you’d need to change phone/upgrade when possible, or look at potentially moving networks in the future.

Hi  This is happening again today right now !

i can’t make phone calls, it doesn’t even connect just drops the call and I am unable to receive any phone calls.

my mobile is a Samsung S22.  my post code is M41 7ED

this is not good enough

I cannot receive calls it keeps saying the dialed number is incorrect. I think there is an issue with the network again 

 

I can see the reports of network issues on 3 spiking up on the downdetector website.

Hi there ​@Megmoo99 and ​@Ady_adytzu95, last week on the dates you mentioned, there was an issue with EE and Vodaphone, which caused disruption, and stopped users being able to call and receive calls from anyone on those networks. This furthermore had a further impact on other networks, but has since been resolved from last Friday.

 

This issue was with EE and something out of our control, and we sincerely apologise for the issues caused.
