change sim to esim

Can I change my sim in my phone to an esim as it is not showing that it is in my phone. Since yesterday with all of the network problems and I still can not .ake any calls or recieve them other than on WhatsApp. It is saying there is no network or sim in my phone. I have removed it and put it back in but no luck it still isn't working
