Question

esim activation

My daughter’s phone number switched from ee to ID with contract and new phone. The phone has no mobile reception and I don’t think the eSIM has been activated. She can only connect to Wi-Fi. Please help

@rebecca175  When was the date of porting due and did you or your daughter received a Port completion notification from IDMobile?

What mobile phone has you daughter using with the eSim?

@rebecca175  Try this and enter the phone number in this setting.

Settings/Apps/Phone/My number/enter my phone number starting with +44

Thank you. I have tried this and her mobile number is correct and up to date but it hasn’t turned on 4G/5G so no network coverage

when I go into settings/about it says network not available and network provider is still showing as EE.

many thanks

Have you deleted the EE eSIM (or removed the EE SIM) from the iPhone with your daughter’s iD eSIM, @rebecca175

There is no physical sim in her new phone. When I go to eSIM activation in settings it asks for a QR code but I do not have one. Do you know how I can actually contact someone from ID mobile to get a QR code? When I tried to make contact it sends confirmation code to my daughters phone but she’s not receiving it so I can’t log into talk to an assistant.

Appreciate your help

Okay @rebecca175, was your daughter using an EE eSIM in her iPhone?

You’ve mentioned your daughter’s iPhone shows the network provider as EE, which might mean she hasn’t been disconnected from the EE network yet.

Speak to iD customer support using their online web chat service - the advisers work until 8pm on weekdays.

If you can access the iD app/website you can order a replacement eSIM to be sent to your registered email. If not I suggest you goto your nearest Curry’s store with photo ID to get a replacement physical SIM card.

Once you have the replacement activate it following the instructions here:
