I keep getting failed registration when I press chat settings how do I fix this issue

Can you send us a screenshot of the page you are on?
- Go to your profile photo or icon, then Messages settings, RCS chats. Tap RETRY and confirm your phone number when requested. If you can't find 'RCS chats', tap Chat features.
- Google will send an SMS to confirm your phone number.
It may be worth restarting your handset a few times also.
