Honor 200 ELI-NX9 5G won't charge past 82%

I’ve had this phone only a handful of months from ID. I have always used authentic chargers, such as Samsung and no rip-off cheap ones that are known to cause problems.

Yet, suddenly this phone absolutely refuses to charge past 82%. It tells me that charging has stopped to protect the battery, yet I’m using a basic charger from Samsung (this phone did not come with a charger). This is regardless of what cable I use or charger plug. It has had no liquid on it, never used in a steamy bathroom, always kept dry and clean.

Has anyone had a similar issue? I’m about to get my data off it and will end up sending back, I think.

Never mind. I found that turning off smart charge will fix the issue. Turn off Smart Charge by going to Settings > Battery > More battery settings > Smart Charge.

Hopefully this helps someone else. New features = new problems.
