How do I port over my own number on Idmobile?

I'm on a pay monthly idmobile sim and have been for years. I've just signed up for a 2 year deal through Carphone warehouse to get an iPhone15 with idmobile. I tried to use a PAC code to keep my current number but it said this couldn't be used as I was staying with the same network. They are sending me a new sim/new number.

How do I port over my old number to my new idmobile sim please? I've had this number 10+ years

You cannot port numbers to the same network. You will either have to return your new phone under the cooling-off period and upgrade your existing plan or port out to another network and then port back to iD Mobile.

Buy a payg sim on a different network. Port your number to that and then port your number to your new id sim. Unless you are upgrading your plan with same network they won't let you port your number to the same network

Thank you. That's probably the easiest way. If IdMobile didn't offer far better deals to non-customers then it wouldn't be an issue
