If a number port is in process, then yes, you need to wait until it has been completed before adding it to your online account.
I would recommend waiting until the day after the port is completed before attempting to add the plan to your online account.

Tried that but says details don't match. I tried online chat but not much help so went on messenger and they said the porting hasn't quite finished setting up yet and told me to try again later tonight
