imessage FaceTime not workkng

Bought an I’d mobile transferred from vodaphone. Now no iMessage FaceTime working. Switched it off did the restart. Did the remove the sim etc. Driving me mental. Want to get rid of it and send it back? What am I doing wrong. Shouldn’t be this hard!!!

    None of these work. Tried everything listed and it’s still not working.

    Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with you iMessage and Facetime. 

    Can you please confirm if you number is showing correctly in your handset settings?

    This will need to begin with +44 and you can check this via settings - my apps - phone - my number.
