Hi i have just started a sim only 1 month plan with idmobile but spotted a cracking deal on a pixel 9 pro 24 month contract with same provider, can I still keep my original number, only been on the sim plan for approx 10 days,thanks.

You won’t get any invite to upgrade until you’ve been with iDM for 6 months. If you can wait that long when the upgrade offers become available and you take a phone deal they don’t carry out another credit check.
If you really want the phone now you’d be better off cancelling the current contract (if you took it direct via iDM you get 30 days to change your mind) - if you brought a number with you your account reverts to a non functioning PAYG whereby you can PAC that number to another provider (any free PAYG with suffice). Then take out this stonkingly good deal - note you’d need to pass a deeper credit check via Equifax. Then after your number has simmered on that PAYG (leave it 24 hours after the number goes live as this should hopefully prevent porting issues) you can PAC this to your new iDM account*
*you currently can’t use the same email address twice for iDM accounts.
