keeping my number

I bought a new phone on contract with ID which is on a new ID plan. As I already have a plan with ID I expected to be able to keep my number. Can I do this?

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Thank you for sharing, however I am terribly sorry as the system does not allow us to port internally. You can however transfer from a different network to our network or transfer from our network to a different network. The only way to keep your number with iD mobile is to do an upgrade from your old contract which will convert to a new one keeping your old number.
