Hi 

I have switched my mobile number (kept the old one) but the number work. 
I have checked the number showing on my mobile and it’s still the provisional number given to me (have restarted my phone twice) and I can’t edit this number. 
i have also gone into my Apple ID info in the settings - it shows there that the provisional number is deactivated and it shows my switch number (the old one) 

However, the new number still does not work and it still works on my old phone. 
any help welcome thank you! 

@CamiCis - Was your previous phone an iPhone? If so, you’ll need to disable iMessage and FaceTime services.

  1. Open ‘Settings’.

  2. Tap ‘Messages’.

  3. Tap ‘Send & Receive’.

  4. Ensure all mobile numbers and emails are unchecked. Then, tap your Apple ID.

  5. Tap ‘Sign Out’. Go back to the previous page.

  6. Tap the toggle to turn off iMessage. Go back to the previous page.

  7. Tap ‘FaceTime’.

  8. Ensure all mobile numbers and emails are unchecked. Then, tap your Apple ID.

  9. Tap ‘Sign Out’.

  10. Tap the toggle to turn off FaceTIme. Go back to the previous page.
