new contract wipes Sim

Like a few people on here, I’ve just upgrade from a sim only contract to a contract with a phone. As soon as I made the transition I received a message saying I’d used 100% of my data roaming. Tried the AI customer chat but it was no help also im showing im on unlimited data please help im very confused
