new mobile calls appear to come from number i brought across but sms come from different number..maybe the id mobile sim number

I have recently joined id mobile.

I have been calling people with no issue but recently I needed to get in touch with a handy man...I called him and he asked me to text through details and when I did I never heard back from him.

I called to ask why and he said that a message came through but from a different number.

 

I am guessing that when I moved my number across this was synced for call but it has not been for sms and therefore the id mobile sim no is being attached to sms messages

 

.can you please fix this

Ah okay @Swizza -

There are steps for Samsung Galaxy here. It may also be worth turning off RCS. Thanks.

    Im having the exact same issue. 

    Transfered my old number from a different provider which is what shows when I phone, but my id number shows when I text but can't ring it? Have you found the cause?

    Hi ​@Paiget94, the issue is mostly caused by the temporary iD number reflecting in the phone’s settings. You’ll be able to update this via the below steps depending on what phone you use:
