new phone

I’ve recently changed over to a new iPhone 15 and now with a different provider, but when certain contacts call me only my old phone rings and not my new one ? How long does it take for the old phone to disconnect from Id service as I don’t understand why some people call me and either both ring or only 1? Ps I don’t want to reset my old phone yet incase I’m still being charge for it so I want to make sure it shuts off before I do anything

Okay @yasmin18, if your old handset is also an iPhone, then this type of behaviour could be an Apple ‘thing’. 

If both your handsets are Apple devices, might be better talking to Apple about this issue.
