New SIM not working after pickup from Currys

Hello. So left my old network and ported my phone number. Set it for today. I ordered a ID mobile SIM last week only for it to be delivered to some mystery place.

Contacted ID and they said to pick up a replacement from Currys so did that yesterday. Now today I've put the SIM in and nothing. The network signal is blank and I have no access to my phone number so no access to lots of my accounts.

It won't activate can't get past the send text to activate part of the registration process.

Doesn’t sound like the activation process, which is described in the community article, ​@dley.

No mention of SMS text messages being part of the process.

Perhaps one of the online Live Chat customer advisers can help - tell the 24/7 iD chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”.
