New phone contract my old sim from my expiring contract works in my phone but then new sim doesn't register in my device help please

New (replacement) iD SIM cards need to be activated before use, @Grant Coulman Senior

That said, your existing SIM should continue working once the minimum term of your iD contract has finished, so you could just continue using the existing iD SIM card.
