NO SIM - Please help me

First impression of Id Mobile as a new customer is not good.  I purchased a new sim 26/Dec, collected it from Currys 28/Dec and was told my number would port within 24 hours.  Nothing happened.  I contacted live chat agents 30/Dec and was told there was a delay.  I asked why my new sim had no temp number and was told not to worry it will sort itself out.
Yesterday still nothing so I contacted again and was told I needed to go and get a new sim from currys.  i did this and contacted the agents AGAIN to have them link it.  The sim still said NO SIM (tried in 4 phones).  I was told to wait an hour… still nothing.  Contacted again and was told port was due at 6pm and all would be fine.  Guess what?  Old number and sim disconnected and nothing working on new sim so completely cut off from the world and with a sick child.  Contacted AGAIN and was told it has been logged with Tech Support but 48 response time (with the weekend, it will be 84 hours) and complaints 5 days.
How can ID Mobile think this is acceptable.  Despite talking to 5 agents yesterday, noone has resolved my issue. 
What can I do :-(
