Nokia 105 no service

I got a cheap simple nokia 105 for my mum to use. But her old sim card will not work in the phone there is no service. I took her sim card and tried it in my iphone and its fine.

Even if I put my sim card into the nokia it still wont work. Ive tried to select a network in the settings but only EE, Vodaphone and 02 are availble,

What is going on?

There are two variants of the Nokia 105. There is a 4G handset and a 2G handset. It does say in the item description that it’s compatible with the GSM network. GSM is 2G.

It’s a 2G only phone I believe. ID Mobile don’t have a 2G network, soon it will only be 4G and 5G
