Not receiving SMS text messages

Ive been through many of the previously asked questions and answers on this topic and carried out the troubleshooting activities suggested on them, but I'm still not receiving sms text messages. ( such as 2 factor account security codes)

I seem to be able to send them albeit can't do it to myself to check..

They haven't worked since I went on holiday to Turkey (no data or calls in my package so I turned roaming etc off.) 

I've checked all my roaming settings and call barring etc…

Samsung A52 phone

Finally, after about 5 weeks, the wizards at iD and/or the Network Three have eventually sorted it.

No idea what the problem was, how it happened, or by whom it was eventually fixed, but I now have access to sms messaging again…

Sorry to follow up, but has anyone got any ideas what I need to check in terms of either my settings on my phone or how I can fix this issue??

(I'm back in the UK now, just in case that wasn't clear in my initial ask...)

Hi ​@Pip271272  sorry to hear this, I know you mentioned you have tried some trouble shooting, but can you just check the steps on this article - I can't send or receive (SMS) texts from my SIM. What should I do? | iD Mobile Community

Hi.

Yes, I previously read those links and tried everything on it (and others).

It's weird, I seem to be able to send SMS texts but just not getting any replies even though they are showing as sent on senders phone.. not getting Bank authorisation codes either!

iD are sending me a new SIM card so will try that.

I am not receiving 2FA text messages today, plus I had about 30 minutes today where i could not make or receive calls. Currently unable to login to Sky because I am not getting their codes!!!

Ive just had an email from someone allegedly from iD called Irene Morgan using a Gmail account?

Then I got a call from Harry who sounded foreign Asking me for the pass code number that he had sent me to my email address…

I cut call off because I was suspicious….

I have inserted the new sim card, acrivated it and SMS messaging is still not working….

Any ideas??? I'm getting desperate now as I do banking for my elderly parents and can't log in to their accounts….

No. It's still showing as an 07782 number and is greyed out and can't be changed by me

Was told Technical were looking at it amd would be fixed within 48 hrs… that was 47 hours ago….

HELP, I'm absolutley desperate to get this resolved as I can't pay bills for my Mum and Dad….

Hi Siân,

Thanks for your reply. The codes came through later that evening. There was definitely an issue earlier in the day, because I couldn’t receive or make calls.

Anyway, all good now, thanks.

 Yes I replied straight away with the info requested…

This needs sorting URGENTLY.

I can't pay bills through the Bank for my elderly Mum and Dad without SMS messaging….
