Hi

As of Saturday my phone has stopped recognising my sim card. I have tried restarting, cleaning the SIM card and resetting network settings but nothing has worked, the handset is convinced there is no SIM card.

I don't know whether it's related but as off a couple of weeks ago, the phone developed a thin pink line running from the top to the bottom of the screen, touching the bottom just to the right of the charging port.

The pink line is annoying but the SIM card issue is catastrophic and is stopping me using my phone and has ruined my holiday. Please can you help fix it urgently.

My handset is a Google pixel 8 from yourselves.

Thanks

Joe

Hi @Joseph Clapham

I’m sorry to hear this, have you tried using the SIM card in another device to test it there?

The pink line sounds like some physical (or possibly water) damage, it may be worth taking the device to your local Currys store to explore the option of a repair.
