Does your spouse's SIM work in your phone, @elvisfan193577

If not, your phone might be faulty.

Hi @elvisfan193577

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the service whilst roaming in Spain.

Can you please confirm if roaming is enabled in the handset settings?

If the SIM works in your Wife’s phone, it sounds like it has been enabled on our side.

Thanks,

Nat

Perhaps there’s an issue with the SIM 1 reader in your phone, @elvisfan193577

Does an activated non-iD SIM card work in SIM 1?

That doesn’t sound great, @elvisfan193577.

If no SIM card works in SIM 1 in your phone, sounds like the SIM 1 card reader is damaged/faulty.

Just to add and hopefully I'm wrong.

But if this a fairly new Samsung phone and you've previously had an eSIM in use and gone back to a physical SIM then this can cause issues - Samsung have been replacing (in some cases) the motherboard and the SIM card reader, but all under their warranty.

The phone was a new contract from ID mobile direct on the Internet  approximately 4 months ago

Thank you for confirming @elvisfan193577

When you return, we would recommend taking the handset to a Curry’s store for our team to take a closer look.

If it needs a repair, they will be able to advise you on the next steps.
