problem transferring old phone number

My old phone number hasn't been transferred to ID mobile on the date that was stated. I have tried Live chats and end up going round in circles. I can't speak to an advisor as they don't appear to have anyone to speak to.

I'm carrying around two phones and it's really annoying. They've said that I will receive a text message once the number has been transferred, but I've been waiting two days since they stated it would be completed by.

Can anyone help? I'm desperate 😪

Welcome to the Community!

What date was the port requested for?

Just to advise ports don’t take place over weekends or Bank Holidays.

If the port is showing on one of these days it will likely be processed tomorrow (2nd January 2024).

However we can check this out via Live Chat or we can PM you here.

@Stephen Mcaleese it's a pain isn't it. Thought it would be quite straight forward. Yesterday wasn't/isn't a bank hols.

 

@Kash it was requested for the 31st, 5 days after putting forward my PAC. I did try the live chat but it was clearly automated and couldn't/wouldn't give a definitive answer.

I have pm'd ID via Facebook and they said they would look into it. They said if it hasn't changed within 72hrs from now to contact them. Still, not very helpful. Whilst I appreciate it's a process, the date was selected and am still none the wiser as it MAY be done within 72hrs, or it may not.

It's transfered now but for some reason my dad who's with virgin/O2 when he calls me it doesn't ring then al get a text saying a have a missed call from him?

Stephen it can take up until 10pm tonight to fully port over.

Or have you had a automated text saying you’re good to go?

If you have try restarting the phone (or even if not restarting can give the SIM a kick)

Wednesday 25th December before 8pm
Thursday 26th December before 4pm
Friday 27th December before 8pm Tuesday 31st December
Saturday 28th December before 8pm
Sunday 29th December before 8pm
Monday 30th December before 8pm
Tuesday 31st December before 8pm Thursday 2nd January
Wednesday 1st January before 4pm
Thursday 2nd January before 8pm Wednesday 3rd January

 

 

For PAC’s

Give us your PAC or STAC by Switching Date
Friday 20th December before 5:30pm Monday 23rd December
Saturday 21st December before 5:30pm Friday 27th December
Sunday 22nd December before 5:30pm
Monday 23rd December before 5:30pm
Tuesday 24th December before 5:30pm Monday 30th December
Wednesday 25th December before 5:30pm
Thursday 26th December before 5:30pm
