my replacement sim was collected from curry's and will not activate in samsung s20 phone.

It's sends a code which doesnt arrive because obviously I'm not connected... saying it may take a few minutes to arrive, meanwhile a timer starts counting with a 90 second cut off!

I'm sick of the success! Message which appears no matter which way around I go.

The live chat sent me down the same path, offering a method if inputting a sim code but again out of reach ending with success!!! We've sent you a code you cant receive…

Yesterday had to put a payg sim in which worked without any messing, it just worked, well done EE!

Today I put the ID sim on restarted phone and uninstall app etc still no joy. Same Success! Loop which I've seen 30 times now.

I cant wait for Monday when I will bin this id garbage and join a proper network, I've paid a month already and not even connected its the worst experience ever.

There's no need to have people jumping through hoops for simple matters.

Hi, thanks for responses.

I ended up chatting to customer services and they activated the sim.

I had used the how to activate link above from another thread, I had checked things out before ranting above. Sorry about that.

I did get a code to my email eventually but on submitting it that came up with 'oops something went wrong' error.

I believe it was due to the added complication of the sim being a replacement for a lost one and transferring my number, so it wasnt exactly a straightforward activation.

That said there is definitely a glitch in the activation process, with the number of similar issues posted, it shouldn't send an sms to an unactivated sim with a short time limit and the reason why codes sent to emails consistently fail to apply needs to be ironed out.

Hey there @Andyd001, we’re sorry to hear that. Would you like us to activate your replacement SIM card for you Andy?

Thanks,

Tyler
