I changed handset. Sim didn't work so got replacement for new handset. Got text saying its activated but it isn't connected to the I'd network. Can't text or make calls.  This is nuts. Can't simy put sim in another phone!  Moving to I'd to save a few pounds isn't worth the pain when you need assistance. Please help. Can't see live chat  button for days now. It's not my phone settings!

<snipped> Thanks for replying. The phones are UK they were working fine with id mobile previously. I left my id mobile on holiday.

So you left you Google Pixel 7a on holiday? And you told iD you did this when asking for a replacement SIM?

I wonder if iD have blocked the IMEI on the GP7a is you told them you left it on holiday.

Got replacement SIM used in my old Samsung non-issues. Worked fine. Received my id mobile back via courier. And yes it is MY phone. Now problems start. SIM wouldn't work when taken from Samsung and put it my id mobile 7a pixel.

And being as the replacement SIM worked in your old Samsung this kinda points to the GP7a being at fault. I would ask iD to see if they blacklisted your GP7a

Or are you now also saying the latest replacement (and activated) SIM isn’t working in either phone?

Did you change this old handset to a used Samsung phone by any chance? Of if it is a brand new Samsung phone some are being sold online and it transpires they’re not even UK models.

If this new phone doesn’t work for calls and texts how did you get the text saying the replacement SIM has been activated? Was this on the old phone?

Not all phones, even bought as unlocked to all UK networks, will work if your area has lost 3G. Or the same goes for phones that are not compatible for use on iD’s network.

What was the old phones make and model?

And what’s the new one?

(sorry for all the questions)

Hi @Jamsy1980, are you able to let us know if you still need further assistance with this?

If so, we’ll be happy to send you a PM to confirm if the SIM has been activated correctly on our end and take it from there.

Hi.

Thanks for replying. The phones are UK they were working fine with id mobile previously. I left my id mobile on holiday. Got replacement SIM used in my old Samsung non-issues. Worked fine. Received my id mobile back via courier. And yes it is MY phone. Now problems start. SIM wouldn't work when taken from Samsung and put it my id mobile 7a pixel. Got replacement SIM and yes I get a text from id mobile saying SIM activated. I can actually use over WiFi people can call me IF I'm on WiFi. Got through to live chat rlthey tried and failed to help and have said I will get email from some team. So I'm stuck over holidays without a working phone if I leave the house lol.

Hi @Jamsy1980,

Have you tried a different network SIM in the handset?

Did you have any issues with other SIMs?

Kash
