Hi, I have 2 phones on my account both Galaxy A53, one is my wifes the other is mine. Just recently my wife has been missing calls and unable to make calls when away from the house, at home it works fine. We have checked its not in aeroplane mode and her network settings are the same as mine, everything seems to be the same. I can make calls from the exact same location, and it goes straight to answerphone when ringing her, even though I am sat next to her. Any ideas please or is it broke?

Hi @Rob Mcmahon,

Welcome to the Community!

I’m sorry to hear about that.

It may be worth testing your wife’s SIM inside another handset as it sounds like it could be a handset fault.

If the SIM work in a different handset it’s likely to be a handset issue.

Please get back to us once you have tried this and we can advise further.

Hi Thanks for your reply. This morning I rebooted the phone for the 4th time, my wife reported that a small phone icon had disappeared from the status bar. Dont know which icon as I hadnt seen it , but it does appear to be working now. Lets hope it has sorted itself.

Hi,

I’m having a similar issue with my phone.  It won’t allow me to make calls when I’m away from my home.
I have checked coverage which comes back as excellent for my area.

I have seen other messages to check my settings are correct.

In this thread with Rob he refers to rebooting.  How do I try that?

I can’t check sim in a different phone as I only have one phone.

what else can I try/check

kind regards

Reboot, just shut it down and restart.

Regard Rob

Hi @Daisy4242

How are you getting on?

Has the above from @Rob Mcmahon helped here?

Hi Tom

thank you for your message

I have reset it a couple of times Unfortunately it hasn’t rectified the problem

Any suggestions?  There must be something I’ve missed?

Hi @Daisy4242

Please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you have issues?

Do you have any signal bars at all?

Tom
