Sell contract mobile device


I have a pay monthly contract for 2 years that includes a pixel 8 phone.

I am very unhappy with the device and wish to go back to using my old iPhone.

Can I sell the pixel 8 or is there a clause in contact saying I cannot sell the device while it is still associated with the contract?

If you choose to sell your handset during your contract term, this would be decision but you are still liable for the full cost of the handset and the remaining monthly payments.

Is it the phone or id mobile your not happy with

I believe it is the phone, I have similar issues when using Wi-Fi or mobile data, app freeze, crash, won’t open, files and photos won’t synch (using OneDrive) 

Using my old phone with the same SIM I don’t get these issues. 

The only difference other than the phone is the EE virus software on the pixel. I am suspicious that is affecting it, but I have asked on EE community support and it doesn’t seem to be a common problem, whereas I have received lots of messages from other pixel owners stating similar issues.

I wrote a detailed response, but it is not showing, maybe the admin didn’t like something I said. So in short, I believe the issue is the phone, not ID mobile. Hopefully my full answer will appear at some point, where I have listed issues and what I have tried.

Just continue making the monthly payment for the Pixel 8, throughout your handset contract 24-month minimum term, and you’d be free to do whatever with the unwanted Pixel 8, ​@joannelouy.

Thanks for the info, that is what I had hoped. I was just concerned it might be linked to the account in some way and cause issues for the new owner.
