I bought a SIM card after I was told it would work in my iPad but it doesn’t. Any ideas?

Hi guys- the iPad was unlocked, bought directly from Apple.

ID mobile SIM worked very well in my mobile, better than my existing mobile provider who is meant to be the fastest in the UK…

I spoke to ID mobile on the chat (various troubleshooting inc changing APN, manually selecting ID network instead of automatically allowing it to choose Three), went to a Currys store to get a replacement SIM and both didn’t work.

I don’t believe that iPads are actually supported and as a consequence, have regrettably ended the contract. Such a shame.

Tried another provider and that is now working fine.

I take it that the device is not network lock and is a sim free device? Is it not pick up a signal.

Hi @StueyJ,

Welcome to the Community!

As @JoeKing advised as the iPad isn’t detecting the SIM it may be locked to a specific network.

Can you please test the SIM in your phone to see if it works?

Hi @StueyJ,

Sorry to hear that.

It’s certainly likely that the iPad isn’t compatible with the iD Mobile SIM.

We hope that we can have you as an iD Mobile customer in the future.
