I recently changed to ID about 4 months ago after buying a phone contract and everything was working perfectly, that is until my phone got stolen.
I requested for a replacement Sim however initially only texts and calls worked but not mobile data. After following the support teams instruction I reset my network settings, tried different handsets (all of which are compatible with ID mobile), restarted my phone but none of this worked and to make things worse when I put the Sim back in I now couldn't even make or receive calls or texts.
After months of back and forth with the support team and trying multiple replacement Sims I contacted the complaints team who said they couldn't find any issues and it must be a handset issue, but how can this be when I've tried their Sim on multiple phone old and new? They say that they cannot see that the Sims have connected to different IMEIs and have been placing the blame on my handsets (from a rather rude call complaints agent) but how can this be if the only common denominator is their Sim. I've even tried switching to an Esim which i thought may resolve the issue but I'm still stuck at "Emergency calls only" and "unknown number detected".
What can I do because its been about 4 months of back and forth to no avail and I'm stuck on this plan for another 20 months at a cost of £53.99p/m? Never have I ever had these issues with other network companies and been spoken to with such disdain by a call agent. Is there anything else I can try?
