Help please 

I'm not tech savvy at all! So any help given needs to be idiot proof please! 🤣

 

I've sent some text messages and they are coming through as a different number.  Under the info on my phone it has the correct mobile number.  I very rarely text but I've sent a few recently and the recipients are asking who I am?  Why is this happening and how do I correct it?

I've been having this issue for the past 2.5 years - basically since I switched to ID. I asked for my previous number to be carried over to my new contract and this issue has periodically resurfaced since - nobody at ID seems to know what's going on, and no solution that has been provided has stuck.

The number I keep switching to is the number that I was initially provided by ID, before asking for my original phone number to be transferred over.

seems to have worked but the number in my apple account is still the temp one that came with the sim

Apple Servers seem to get confused when there is a number port. Thanks.

I’m having iPhone and facing same issue. It’s showing different number when I sent text messages to someone. Not sure why??

Wife had this same problem she has an android phone try this she just turned this off and it worked
