I have a pay monthly sim  (to test coverage) and decided to purchase a new phone from third party using id. I note from the community that id response is “Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to transfer a number directly from one iD Mobile plan to another.” and that a triangle process needs to take place with another provider, that will take several days, What a nonsense! Please can someone contact me?

@A12345 This is the process on IDMobile the triangle port IDMobile needs to be ported over onto another network (Pay you go) for a month then you and port back that number to IDMobile network. It's always best to test a new provider network on the number they've issued you with, there after if your happy with said network port your original number that you wish to keep on to the new network.

Doesn’t have to be for a month. You can request a PAC the day after the port happens.

This is standard industry practise in the U.K. no need to talk to anyone. If you want to keep you number from one iD line to another iD line you need to do a triangle report - simples.

Hey there @A12345, we hope the great advice from @JoeKing & @MZone has been able to help.

A triangle port would indeed need to be completed if you’ve purchased a complete new, separate plan, and this is the same for almost all networks.

Thanks,

Tyler
